BLANK

There's things I want to tell you

But my mind keeps going blank.

It seems like there's so much to say

But my vocabulary shrank.

So there's nothing left at all

And nothing left to do

I had the honor of playing the reborn Sun King at the Winter Solstice ritual with Gaia's Temple, and of writing and reciting the following blessing for the new era as the Mayan Calendar turned to a new cycle...

Blessed be this blessed light
Born anew this blessed night
The pangs of labor now subside
The tears of fears can now be dried
For every pain and sorrow hence
Every joy and dalliance
Was purposeful, has taken root
In you, the seeds of promised fruit
The quick'ning of humanity
The dawning age of unity
So blessed be this era bright
Blesssed be this blessed light

Great Lady of the Moon
Who walks the wild lands
Rest with me a while

Gather round your cloak

Of velvet sable night

Once my heart reconstitutes
After melting on the floor
And once my suddenly wobb'ly knees
Become solid once more

And when my brain regains itself
So rational thought returns
And once my stomach settles down
So it no longer churns

And when all of my senses
Finally cease to reel
That's when I will get the chance
To tell you how I feel

I'm not saying "Forever"
I'm just stating how I feel
Right here in this moment
As my every wound doth heal

I'm not saying the "L" word
And all that word implies
I'm just sitting watching my heart
Soaring through the skies

The "L" word and "Forever"
May elude me at this time
But with you here, this moment
Is complete enough to rhyme.

I ALWAYS COME BACK TO YOU

It seems like it's been years now
Since I got to hold your hand
My knees are quivering
Don't know if I can stand

But I'm standing here now
It matters not what I went through
Because I realize
I always come back to you

I can not speak a word because
You take my breath away
Besides, my eyes are talking
So there's nothing more to say

Though I hope the tears don't block
The message getting through
