I CAN'T BECAUSE

I can't sleep because
My heart is pounding
And I can't breathe because
I feel I'm drowning
    In a river I can't see
    What the heck's come over me?

I can't eat because
My tummy's funny
And I can't weep because
The sky is sunny
    Even though there might be rain
    It shines ever in my brain

I can't think because
My head is fuzzy
That thing she said
What did it mean and was she
    Serious, I think,
    Or did she text it with a wink?

But wait I'm calming and my pulse is slowing
My mind is drifting and to sleep I'm going
And in my dreams I see a figure blowing
    A kiss, for goodness sake!
    And suddenly I'm wide awake!

And I can't sleep because...

Druid's Duel

I recently got a message from someone in the form of a Druid's Duel, answering the question of "Who am I?" in poetic verse rather than just your name. This was my reply...

Sidhe, I am not though my path wends nearby
I am cloven hooves lightly prancing o'er earthen dale
I am innocence untamed, wild and free
I am the light of Truth radiating from the hearts of all who behold me
I am purity of moonlit, falling snow
I am bard, crafter of words and speaker of tales
I am artist, arranger of line and form
I am he of the single horn, ever spiraling toward the gods

INDIANA LOVE SONG (to the theme from "Raiders of the Lost Ark") *updated*

Almost ten years in the making, I wrote the first couple stanzas -- the main chorus of the song --  in 1993 but always felt it needed at least one verse to go with it.  Fast forward to the present when this song is now the alarm ringtone that wakes me up every the morning (helps me start the day with a sense of adventure!) and from repeatedly singing along with it, the final part recently emerged. And so I present the newly updated version of the song~

Thing that

What's to say
