I saw a bird up in a tree
It whispered oh so silently
"Would you come and fly with me
So that you may fin'ly see
The whole of life -- That which you be?"
Though I knew I couldn't fly
I found myself aloft there high
Where time flows not as life goes by
No difference 'tween the earth and sky
And both of them becoming I.
Then spoke true my little friend
A promissory rainbow send
Of life ongoing without end
Weaving thru the river bend
The source for love and thought to blend.

FROM WHERE I LOOK UPON THE WORLD
From where I look upon the world
I see no evil there unfurled
For right and wrong illusions be
For those whose mind is truly free
And always when I look I find
There's no one else here in my mind
That is alone except for me
So must be I who holds the key
Where freedom, time, and life have swirled
Is where I look upon the world

THE FROG
I was born into a world
A vast and stagnant bog
And I was told from that day forth
I was a sinful frog
So I began to suffer fate
I lived a life enslaved
For someday some great deity
Would come and I'd be saved
It wasn't long, there came a time
I wondered of my youth
I saw the cold and emptiness
Of their One Great Truth
So cautiously I wandered out
Lest someone call me fool
And came at last where none had gone
The edge of that dark pool
It was there, a wondrous light
I viewed a different earth
There I found a fullness -- There I
Found my own self-worth
I stepped a foot out of the swamp
A shoe there came to be
The rest of me soon followed suit
A prince became from me
I needed not a princess' kiss
To break an evil spell
I only need believe in me
And know that I am swell
I wasted not my time on rage
But quickly took my way
I let them wallow in the past
While I seized the day
I love them still as they remain
Happy in their sorrow
But nothing now can hold me back
Living my tomorrow

IN FOREVER
1. From my brain onto my tongue
I find a song that must be sung
A stream of thought, I watch it flow
'Cause I wanted you to know
C. The wheels of life continue on
Into the elusive dawn
Discov'rin' what I knew
In forever I will find
Not a moment passes thru my mind
That I don't love you
2. The Moon enchantress waxes high
Spreading love across the sky
With the stars she dances long
Thru the colors of my song
C. When the circle has been run
I place a thought upon the sun
Eternally true
Existence moves into its prime
Never knowing of a time
That I don't love you

THERE COMES A TIME
There comes a time when things must end
And you must be your own best friend,
But aren't these ends beginnings too
The old transforming into new
So do you really feel a change
Or rather do you think it strange
That when the old ways fall apart
That's when the good things fin'ly start
And everything remains the same
Except that it's a different game
Played between the mind and thought
In control of all that's wrought
Ascending up the lighted stair
In ecstasy that's free from care
You learn to love the spiral dance
Discovering you've got the chance
To make each word create the rhyme
To every life there comes a time

THE COW SONG
I'm gonna play this ol' guitar until the cows come home
a-moo a-moo
I don't know why they had to go to Gnome
a-moo a-moo
They wanted to see a real live Eskimo
But all that happened was their milk had turned to snow
a-moo a-moo a-moo
I'm gonna play this ol' guitar until the cows come home
a-moo a-moo
It's the e-pit-o-me, or is that epi-tome?
a-moo a-moo
I guess water is thicker than blood
That is of course if you've got to chew your cud
a-moo a-moo a-moo
I'm gonna play this ol guitar until the cows come home
a-moo a-moo
I don't know why they had to go to Rome
a-moo a-moo
They have an appointment with the pope right about now
Some silly business about a holy cow
a-moo a-moo a-moo
I'm gonna play this ol' guitar until the cows come home
a-moo a-moo
They've got a idol, a cow made out of chrome
a-moo a-moo
They kneel in worship, it brings them good luck
They got it of some cowboy's pickup truck
a-moo a-moo a-moo

EVERYTHING'S ALRIGHT
1. I don't need nothin'
I got nothin' to hide
No one can be against me
'Cuz God is on my side
2. The Universe unfolds
In perfect harmony
And I can let it go
'Cuz She takes care of me
C. I set my path a-walkin'
Thru the light
My mind is set at ease
'Cuz everything's alright
3. With no resistance
I can't feel the pain
And I can love the sunshine
I can love the rain
4. I am in control
Of everything I see
Because it all begins
As thoughts inside of me
C. I feel my fears a-fading
With the night
My mind is set at ease
'Cuz everything's alright
I set my path a-walkin'
Thru the light
My mind is set at ease
'Cuz everything's alright
